More than 1 lakh 30 thousand Seva Projects are getting conducted across the country: Parag Abhyankar
Parag Abhyankar, All India Chief for Seva Activities of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, told in an informal conversation that RSS is running more than 1 lakh 30 thousand Seva Projects across the country. These projects are mainly run in the field of education, health, self-reliance and social sector.
Under the Swavalamban scheme, sewing/embroidery/weaving centers, beauty parlor training centers etc. are being run for self-help groups to provide employment to women in about 1200 villages. This type of scheme is being operated all over the country, so that women can become self-reliant. Marketing of the products is also done with a view to encourage them.
Parag Ji said that during the pandemic, service centers were opened in about one lakh villages, in which about three and a half lakh people gave their services. This helped in a great way to control the epidemic. We are also working towards preventing the third wave. To control the deadliest disease like corona, other resources including medicines, vaccines, ventilators, oxygen etc. were also made available to affected people and even to the hospitals. At many places, karyakarta rendered remarkable services by providing ration kits and other materials. 156 fully equipped hospitals are being operated across the country.
Apart from this, there are also 18 to19 big hospitals, where modern medical facilities are being provided to seriously ill patients. Mobile clinics are being run in different parts of the country. The patients are being treated also with Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Naturopathy and Alternative medicine systems. Guruji Seva Nyas are operating at many places including Indore, through which medical arrangements are also being made. Arogya Pathy Medical Centers are operating at more than 3 thousand 500 places.
Parag Ji informed about Matruchhaya centers, where arrangements are made for the upbringing of children. Widow ashrams, orphanages and student hostels of women are also being run. Sewadata app has been started in Indore, in which 650 registrations have been done so far. This app helps in providing 60 types of jobs. With this, where employment is possible, reliable workers are also available.
Many remarkable steps have also been taken in the field of education. With a view to educate the children of the North East, 336 hostels are being run, in which children up to class 12 are taught. Till now more than 3 thousand children have been taught and they are now working in different parts of the country with burning flam of devotion towards the country.
